What sort of EGT tempature increases can be expected with an Edge EZ box. From stock to Stock + Edge? How easy is it to get up in the 1300 range?

limited knowledge

I am by no means an expert but I have had the ez for two hole days (not half days)and I pulled 25. 5k gross babing it I don;t know if stock clutch will hold but I yet to see more than 8k of egt and pulling loads like that stock pushing it hard would bring 9k this is just my short experence with ez so far

thinking of buying one? or trying to reference readings you are seeing?

The EZ with stock, your ok,nothin' to worry about.

Have to agree... but I'd also put the boost elbow in (manual transmission) just to help out the air flow a little... :D

Before the EZ I could hit 1300 F. Now I cant:D But you have to use the boost elbow. Max temps now... . below 1200 F

This is with an auto.

I agree I had no egt issues with just an EZ for the short time I ran that way. Some people it ETH engines have seen high temps stock though. Heavy towing and the high compression ratio just changes the way the ETH acts in comparison to the ETC. I did not mention which engine you have. Had no major clutch problems until I added a comp on top of my 275s. It ran well with the EZ+275s but I don't tow over 10k ever.

Cooler egts

I ran about 200 f higher when stock compared to when the EZ was installed, along with the boost elbow. The HO defintely ran hotter when stock.
