Hi all, I am in need of some help. I just got through taking out my Edge E-Z module and all of my Auto-Meter gauges that were monitoring the vitals because I thought I was going to upgrade to the Juice with Attitude. As I got done with the new install of the Juice and went to put the key in and turn it on the display looked like the picture momentarily then the truck started doing odd things. The horn beeped, the original dash gauges were doing wierd things and the truck will not start. Now I am noticing that all the lights are going dim to almost out. The truck has been sitting for a while and has not been started in a while. Could low or drained batteries cause this reaction? I would appreciate any advice. The truck is was built in 1/06.

Sounds bad. Try disconnecting the Juice and see what happens. Edge has great customer service so they can help tomorrow if needed.

Thanks, I did unhook everything and the truck will start and run but the service engine light is on and the abs light as well.

I think my first action would have been to make sure that the truck would start up and run fine before I put the Edge on it. From MY experiences, the Edge was most likely not the issue unless it was installed wrong or (on the off chance) you got a bad unit. It sounds like it may have been linked to the low batteries to me... . but I'm sure that you've brought them up to charge by now and eliminated that potential source of a problem.

As everyone has mentioned, Edge has excellent customer services IMHO, but this sounds more like an issue that you need to sort out with the truck in its stock settings. Have you tried looking up the engine code(s) yet?

Otherwise, clear the codes with a battery disconnect and continue operating the truck to see if any problems show up. Then, try the Edge install again and see what happens... .

Best of luck!

I called Edge and explained the problem and they were more then helpful by sending out another unit. I have since installed it and everything seems to be fine now and it cleared all my trouble codes. Now I just need to tidy up the install and test drive it.
