Well, after spending weeks of reading and doing tons of research on Edge and TST, I finally came to a decision on which one was the best... ... BOTH!!! was my answer, however I only needed 1,so I chose the Edge, for the simple reason that I have no plans any time soon to do more mods to my truck like :turbo, injectors etc... . the Edge would be the safest... I would be to tempted to try level nine on the TST... I would like to thank, Mark Craig and the crew at DPP (Diesel Performance Parts ) www.dieselperformanceparts.com for all there help and GREAT pricing and quick and reliable service they gave me,They treated me like a KING ;)

. It sure was a pleasure dealing with them and will buy more from them in the future... . THANK YOU!!! As soon as I get it installed I will post what kind of performance Im getting... . Thanks again DPP... ... . Rick

Yeh theres a Duramax thats always farting around I want to take care of... so I cant wait til I get it installed... .

Well I got it in... . I was little worried when I revd it because UPS left it on my front door when it was raining, its been raining steady all day and the bone head sets it out there WITHOUT a platic bag around it... ... so needless to say the whole thing had water in it..... totally soaked..... However the Edge really woke this truck up couldnt do much cuz of the rain, tires kept spinning but there was a big increase in noticable power... . Ill post milage and other results later.....

QUESTION: EZ or The Juice?

rjones,

I'm running an Edge EZ on my mainly stock 2005 CTD. While it seems to wake up the engine fairly decent, I don't like the amount of smoke the EZ causes on moderate to hard acceleration since I am concerned with the long-term consequences of overfueling (excessive rail pressure, injector tip erosion, pressure relief valve, etc. ). When I take a quick look at the headlights in the rearview mirror at night during acceleration, you can easily see the smoke belching from the exhaust . . . even in Level "1" (25 HP).

Like you, I am not planning on any turbo, injectors or clutch mods in the near future. I'm just looking for the SAFEST way to add power for towing and some fun runnin' empty without compromising the engine and drivetrain.

Being that The Juice operates differently than the EZ, what are your observations: Does your rig smoke much on Levels "1" and "2"? How is the smoke and power on Levels "3" and "4"? (I don't plan to use Level "5" just yet)

Please share your thoughts

Thanks!

nope no smoke at all you can adjust how much low bosst fueling you want... myself I set the low boost fueling on level 5 only this system is really user friendly... but to answer no no smoke unless you set it for smoke... .

You can't compare yours to his, his J/A does press, duration and timing. but the J/A for yours just does timing and duration.

Well finally had a chance to test out the Edge... ... All I can Say is BYe BYe Duramax in my rear view mirror... ... . Oo.

All I can say about my HOT juice/attitude is how much I love it. I got the privilige to Test here in Ogden for Edge on the 04 555 series with a stick. I love the power, but I can't shift very fast. I can make it smoke! I was coming back from doing a show and got caught in traffic in Salt Lake on I15. This guy is playing the music full boar, his windows down, mine up and I can hear this stuff like I was in a club. Of course he on the right side. So I let traffic in front of me move up and get a little space in front of me and I set the chip at max and light it up at a dead stop. Couldn't even see the car! Got to love a well set up Dodge!

I have a '99 with an Edge, and 2005 with the Attitude/Juice. Both are awsome boxes.

No smoke unless I want it with the attitude.

I launch the other day with horse trailer in tow. About five cars are ahead on a road that turns to two lanes about 100 yards after the light. I accelerate normally, pacing the cars ahead. For some reason the kid behind decides he wants to race around before the lane ends. Never mind that there was traffic ahead, he wasn't going anywhere.

So I did what any self respecting TDR member would do - I gave him a smoke job. Oh my! was he ****** off! It seems his little Accura just didn't come equipped with infrared vision system to see his way around me! :-laf
