That truck looks really professionally done! Once they get the bugs worked out, I'll bet that thing is just going to fly!! Wonder what the actual scale weight is; the motor must weigh more than the rest of it...

The last run he made at the track he blew his head gasket. . Made it about half way down the track then booom. . lots of white smoke comming out of the stacks. . Still got about a 15. 5 quarter mile coasting half way down the track.

Funny, head gasket looked fine when it came out.

When I said bent a few push-rods in the other thread thats what I meant...

Did it break off the gear on the end of the cam and sent the valves where ever they wanted to go.

I guess what he meant by blew something it was an intercooler boot. . ??

Am I right??

I thought it was a turbo or something like that. . Just going off what a guy over at Edge Products told me. He said it was the head gasket  Guess not... good looking truck though :D:D

Y'all let us know when he gets it in the low tens. Then we'll have a real fun race. I can't wait. ( Is the last statement politically correct?)

Who are you watching to go low 10's?

Keith,

Is the drag truck at the shop in Vegas? Going to the SEMA show in November and would like to get an up close look and hope to see it at some of the shows on the east coast like TIM.

Ok, I think we are ALL talking about different trucks. I was talking about the Dr. P truck being a 24v. I think the Edge truck is a CR, but I have no info on it.

Some people are talking different trucks here, you can read the whole thread and tell.

Kieth:

The truck I'm talking about is the Jeff Garmon drag truck. He ran 10. 08 at Muncie. Maybe 9's when we get to Schieds but then maybe all the truck has, has been shown. It's still on a 2500 frame. We have two more trucks down here that may get into the 10's. And both street legal. One is Daren who ran a 11. 17 at Muncie. The other is Matt, who is beating Daren at local runs around Georgia. These trucks just get faster and faster.

It's gonna be fun.

That turbo system on Dr. Performance's truck looks MUCH better than what I saw on it the first time. Who ended up putting those together?

I did the turbos myself. The guy is S. A is good, but didn't have the same schedule as I did. I went to my local supply house and bought all the bends and u’s and such, and after a few days of cutting and scraping cutting, and going for more to replace the one, now 1/2 inch too short, it was ready. Now comes welder Bob. Bob is in the NAVY and can after drinking you beer weld the cans back together, and other feats of skill, to convince you his fee was worth it. When it was finished the results were worth ever bit of work put in to it, as this was my first set of twin’s
