Don Ms Mach 3 injectors. I've tried stock, 275s, stage threes and aset of mystery injectors my diesel guy made for me. The mystery ones came close but could not match the power and smoothness of the Mach 3injectors. I had plenty of speed plenty of torque but seemed to be missing something to bring it all together. The Mach 3s did just that. Iam very happy with them.

What are EDM's hp ratings? I want to know what their hp ratings are stage 1-8 I know they are different (ie... . Old style DD 3's are 100 hp) I am thinking about EDM 5's. How about compairing smoke? (ie... . would EDM 5's be like stage 3's smoke?)

I tried a set of EDMs from Mass diesel. He had them made,I dont know exactly by who,you would need to call him. But I can tell you they rocked, they were in the range of a step 5. I would run past my bully dog 7's to get them, they also idled very quiet and smooth, smoke was very controllable, just a touch worse than DD supermentals, but tons more power. We dynoed them and I was impressed. Scott has the details,if anyone wants to know more. I dont know much about them except they are awesome.

love my diesel dynamics jammers

stage 4, 8 hole edms, 125 hp, almost no smoke on an otherwise stock motor ... another post has another very happy owner who dyno'd approx 350 rwhp ... do a search for jammers

I have Don M's Mach 1. 5's, 80hp. They have been really great so far. Plenty of power, very smooth, and no smoke. Waiting for it to warm up and get some #2 fuel and have some dry roads to really test it out. So far no EGT problems either.

I put in Don M's Mach 2's (100hp) about a month ago. So far, so good. No smoke during normal driving, and a slight haze under heavy acceleration 'till boost comes up. Killer bottom end and excellent top. Very smooth, good cold weather starting, and EGT's aren't an issue (1,200 max w/EZ).

I have Don's Mach 5's. I can black out the sun with these babies. If I hamer it at an intersection it gets so black that people crawl thru the intersection like in a fog. I don't do that very often and when I get the twins to spool up the smoke goes bye-bye and so do I. Oo. :-laf

I noticed an EZ in the signature of a couple of people running Don M's Mach 2's. How are your EGT's, especially towing? I am seriously thinking about upgrading from 275's to Mach 2's but I must be able to keep the EGT's in check when towing heavy.

Would DD2's be better for towing?

Thanks

Len, I had the exact same question before I talked to a few guys with Don's Mach 2's and EZ's. It seems the temps aren't a problem even with a stock turbo. I'm sure it will be possible to peg the EGTs on the longest of grades with a load, but a little right-foot modulation should cure that. From what I've heard, the Mach 2's, even tho rated at the same HP as DD3's will run as cool or cooler as DD2's while towing, with less smoke. This makes sense to me as bottom end torque is increased because of better fuel atomization, not just adding more fuel. So the same amount of fuel going through a honed injector will smoke more and create less power than if it was being sprayed through an EDM injector. All I know is that I can't wait for my DTT transmission to be done so I can find out for myself! :D
