Injectors are in :D I also installed the nozzles for the water/meth while i had the intake off. No time to get the wiring done for the controller and pump. I need to talk to Snow Performance about were to adjust my pump pressure. My kit came with a pair of 625's. Anyway back to the injectors. I only drove it about 10 miles but am impressed so far. The stage 3's are very clean, from idle all the way up to WOT. Very little smoke and that's with the #10 still full forward. Nice power gain also.

I can't get over how clean it idles.

Injector update. Had time to put a few hundred miles on the truck since the injector install. I still can't believe how clean these things are. They gave me exactly what i asked for but i am still concerned at my lack of WOT smoke.

It feels like it has plenty of power, boost is good, almost too good, i had to back it down to 35psi from 40 psi. EGT's are exceptable for a stock compressor, 1300 to 1400 on a long run. I believe that shows that i am getting good fueling. It just doesn't seem like a stock hx35 should be able to keep up with a fuel plate and injectors????

Don't get me wrong, If you read my first post I got exactly what i was asking for with these injectors. I just wanted to make sure i wasn't cheating myself out of a little fuel at WOT. So ether Lenny has an very efficiant design or i went one size to small or my pump is cheating on me :-laf

Maybe it's the #10, may need an #100.

Sorry for being long winded, i didn't want to give any wrong impressions about the DDP injector. Lenny offered to make me a set of 4's, but i would like to play with these a little more. As i said before these baby's are freakin clean at idle and around town, i just would like to see a little more fuel (smoke) at WOT.

Part of it is the fact that Lenny has a pretty darn clean injector and the other is the #10 plate. Or possibly your AFC is not working and moving out of the way.

As a test I would pull your plate and run around the block and see what kind of WOT smoke you have then.

Just slide the plate and AFC housing full forward, if they aren't already. :)

The #10 is part of the reason it is defueling on the top end. It is designed that way.

Plate is full forward, AFC is about 1/8" back from full forward.

I like the no plate idea, it would be a cheap test.

Thanks

Update: I was able to fix my no smoke at WOT problem. The fuel filter was plugged. Man do i feel like an idiot. Good reason you should have a fuel pressure gauge. It felt like i gained 50 HP after changing the filter.

Is a 215 HP pump a prerequisite for running Lenny's Stage 3's and 4's?

I would love to have a 215 pump but it's not required. I have a 180 pump and they work awesome together.

So now you got fuel Joe, how 'bout a little detailed update on the DDP 3s?

I can't offer alot of addition info yet, i have only driven it a few miles without my fifth wheel behind it. It is still very clean during startup, idle and normal driving but now it puts out moderate smoke past 3/4 throttle. Not enough to block out the sun but the guy behind you will know it's a diesel.

The best part is the power increase, with the plugged filter anything more than 3/4 throttle made no difference.

Now with the extra fuel my boost is to high (42psi) I will have to adjust my boost elbow back a bit.

Well you oughta find a dyno and spin the rollers sometime, would be interested to know what you are putting down. :)

After you run through a couple tanks let us know what kind of mileage you're getting.

Ya i would like to get some HP numbers. I have a Dyno shop about a mile from my house. Funny thing is that i run a chassis dyno for a living too.

One would figure i'd have some numbers to post  The bummer is there is no way to get any personal vehicles on the dyno at work. It's not programed to do HP pulls anyway.

I did run down to Ohio last week and got 22. 4 mpg. I'll have to recheck it, sorry to admit i don't drive it much, Diesel went up again yesterday, it's at $3. 59 a gallon now. Thats bull$hit. You know it's bad when it cost over 40 bucks to fill up a TDI VW.
