Educated by Smarty

OK I almost made a dumb mistake before I got educated with a Smarty. I had ordered a superchips flashpaq but I kept hearing about this Smarty. I have decided to order the Smarty and resell the superchips. I just have a couple of questions. 1. I have an Edge EZ already on the truck, will they be compatable or do I need to ditch the EZ? 2. When I upload the smarty do I need to unhook the EZ first (if they are compatable of course)? Finally, is anyone looking for a Superchips Flashpaq 3805 unopened and in the box? Hehe. Oh well that was before I got educated by a Smarty.

I have a TST PMCR comp, Edge EZ, and loaded Smarty CR with no problems. Yessirreee that's "three" comps. :-laf

To my understanding the edge will work with smarty. Mine just arrived in the mail and I am going to go find out here shortly. I was told just start out with edge on 0 and try the smarty out first. No need to disconnect edge.

the stack works fine. just try smarty alone to feel what the smarty will do for you then play with the ez.

See my sig. I was pretty close to your set-up before the Smarty. I just reciently added the turbo, manifold, and intercooler, but I have had the TST on for about 9 months. The truck was a DOG on the bottom end before the Smarty, you know, floor it to merge into traffic, and the truck goes NO WHERE as traffic is comming up fast! The truck is extremely responsive with the Smarty, add in a little TST power = scary power!

remember half the smarty programs have NO added timing. but you will notice a difference in the timing curves between products.

I have 35's, Airaid intake, full MBRP. Towing my 5er (13-14k) I can see 1400 degrees pre turbo. What will smarty do for this situation?

My EGT's dropped a good 100 deg average across the board. But our trucks are a bit diffrent though.

Triple dog and TST, should I throw in the Smarty and ditch Bullydog, or just keep all three and see what happens? Does the smarty add any pressure?

Smarty adds no pressure over stock levels, Ditch the BD and get smarty! It would be cool to see a comparison between the BD and smarty though.

Ya ditch the bully dog... It doesn't make any power and all it does is screw up the ecm and its dectectable... Ewwww

What I am trying to find out is if the Smarty will stack with the Hot Juice on my dad's 03. Someone enlighten me on this, if it does, 2 Smarty's are on the way.

I didn't know people were having issues with Bullydog??? I have seen some great dyno numbers from Bullydog stacked with TST... not to say that the new SMARTY wouldn't and won't make better numbers, but I don't see how the decision can be so night and day like ya'll makin it seem. I am interested to see what kind of numbers this thing puts up... but I do kinda like my stuff to be tried and true.

I strongly agree... For a long time the bully dog was all we had. It makes awesome power and now we have a few people running it down constantly. Maybe its because they are getting a little $$$ off of the sales... .
