Help!, Over the weekend amid the dirt some PINE SAP landed on the left fender. Now it's dried on. I attempted to use 3m's adheisive remover which did O. K. but did not get it all. Next attempted using 3m's ultra paste wax which got more but still remaining is kind of a "shadow" of residue.

Suggestions please!

Try WD40, Kerosene or Bug and Tar remover. All have worked well for me, just be sure and wax the spot afterward since all those products take wax off.

I once had my whole truck covered with sap from driving on a old logging road when the sap was flowing and I washed the truck with alchahol, was imron paint so dont know how our paint would hold up but it worked good on that one.

Good Luck

I use Turtle Wax Bug and Tar remover. Works pretty good. You may also want to try a product called Goof Off adhesive remover. It'll work on just about anything, although I don't know if it will affect your paint.

I was too chicken to try the goof off, I do have a can. The 3M adheisive remover I used in the bed and it did not damage the paint.

Thanks for the suggestions! Rich:p

I had some gooey sap on the tailgate/rear fender after cutting firewood, and Gunk worked where WD40, lighter fluid, and Goof Off didn't.

We park my truck and one car under pine trees, went thru the same problem - forget alcohol, WD-40 or gasoline or diesel fuel! Take all you can off with a rag or tissue, then apply a good paste or liquid wax to a cloth and rub it on the affected spot, let set a bit then wipe it off = you may have to apply more than once, and may have to get a bit ummmm. vigorous in the application, but it WILL come off! As some here have suggested, some of the bug/tar removers may do an even better job...
