I've heard (and it makes sense to me) that twins make the exhaust quieter... can anyone give me a good description of how it changes the sound of the exhaust?

Well, when I put on the twins and also changed to a 5" straight pipe. At about 7 lbs of boost it whistles like a jet coming in for landing. The 5" straight pipe

(twins) is quieter than the 4" with a muffler (single). As far as the exhaust note goes, it just sounds like it is breathing well. Hard to describe.

It's buttery smooth... that's how I'd describe it. Trucks with twins don't bark like the 3" or 4" straight-piped trucks... but it has all the throatyness (is that a word?) you could ever want. If you want it to be more throaty... install a KTA under the hood.

Dad really liked the sound of Sebek's red truck at idle and slowly taking off. That was after he stared under the hood at the twins and declared that he'd like to see something similar under the hood of his '98.

That's right - 19 liters of pure diesel badness.

It's a HUGE engine - the whole thing is gigantic. Impressive to look at and even better to hear 'em run!
