For a long time, it has been perceived that an ETH usually only gains an additional 30hp or so by tapping the wire. But i wonder-- is this only valid for stock injectors?
Once you get into injectors, would the power difference between wire tapped and not tapped on an ETH get bigger? I theorize that the larger injector passes more fuel on the secondary injection pulse that fueling boxes generate. So since it can pass more fuel in this same amount of time, shouldn't tapping the wire give you proportionately more power?
My thinking is that a wire tap with stock injectors will net only 30-40hp more on an ETH.
What about a stage 2 injector? Maybe a 90 hp difference?
How about stage 3 injectors? 100+hp difference?
Can anyone verifiy my thinking here with dyno #s?
I am thinking about my next setup, and I am not going to tap the wire if it's only 40-50 hp more.
