Pick You tuner wisely. . Most are very capable programmers other are Just talkers,EFI only allows changing parameters, the codes is the key, just changing the Settings works but the tuner who know the codes is the Guy I want.

I saw on Edge's web site that with Insight CS you can change your EFI Live tunes on the fly. I wonder If I could use my Edge CS and do the same thing? Has anyone come across this?

Does EFI leave a foot print or trace that comes up on a OBD scan?

Although, they did change, and are currently working on the 03-05, then plan to do the 10+ trucks.

Only on LB7 and LLY Duramax trucks. There is currently no switchable tuning for the Cummins platform.

Any programmer leaves evidence that it was there. Just a code read won't show, but any quick dig, they'll know it's been flashed.

I need the 03-05 to be available or I'm gonna have to go back to the SMARTY and find a tuner in AZ. Maybe UDC(I think) will be the answer.

Just like the Smarty or any other programmer you flash the ECM. My AutoCal has (3) three tunes; Mileage, Tow, Race and stock software profile(s). It takes roughly 4 min to flash the truck. Quickest in the industry, not Smarty. :-laf



The '03-'05 trucks are next up and ready shortly. I also believe after that project and 2010+ trucks, you'll see a selective switch for on the fly.

I'm making the full switch to EFILive this week hopefully; truck gets a new factory flash Monday, then hopefully a tuner can get me a tune by mid-week or by the weekend.



I LOVE my Smarty, it's absolutely lived up to everything I've wanted it to do, and then some, but the smoke has got to go.
