With the comeing of a visual inspection someday, I blocked off my EGR valve with some thin plates, but left the (blocked off) EGR in place. This was at the advice of my local CTD mechanic, others might want to give this some thought.

Now my questions: I have the Banks twin air intake and with all I have heard about the flow restriction I am going to pull it off and take a die grinder to it to open her up a little. Does any body have any advise or experience with this? If this is too much trouble, where is the best place to get a Non-EGR intake? How much would be gained by putting on a non EGR Exh manifold?

Any thoughts are appreciated, thanks again for all your help thus far.

The twin ram works very well as is, my engine smoothed out noticeably and, based on dyno, did allow more HP. I installed the power pack and ats exhaust manifold at the same time and got a little more than Banks advertises. The EGR is gone since the power pack ordered was for a non egr. It came with CARB approved stickers and makes it smog legal in Calif. This is what a friend, smog referee, told me since no data exists yet on diesel powered vehicles. The High ram on the 24 v is, IMHO, not worth installing
