I would appreciate hearing feedback from anyone who has installed one of the EGR brake kits for improved performance. At 100,000 miles, I have some brake issues that need tending to and the upgrades they offer sound great but the price appears a little on the steep side. Thanks!

EGR Brakes

I just installed the EGR rotors and pads on the front; they work. Good stopping power and the right front "pull" went away.

I nstalled the EGR pads and slotted rotors with excellant results. They have friction characteristics completely different than others pads I have tried. They stop with great power but don't lock the wheels under full pedal force (keeps you just on the verge of skidding). I later replaced my rear shoes with their product, changed rear wheel cylinders and modified the rear weight sensing valve. The truck now stops as good as any vehicle I've driven. Very good product for the heavy Ram trucks.

DOWG & MIKE, did either of you switch to the EGR calipers for the front brakes?

MIKE, what size rear wheel cylinders did you change to? Also how did you modify the rear weight sensing valve?

Approx costs would also be helpful.

Thanks, Mike Gire
