egr brakes not responding

can anyone tell me if someone sells drilled or slotted rotors for a 93 d-250. egr is not responding to my emails.

Try calling them. I talked to them a while back; very helpful, and the woman on the phone seemed to know what she was talking about, withuot it being a REAL obvious sales pitch.



BTW- why do you want the drilled/ slotted rotors? Most street applications dont see enough heat to warrant the drilling or slotting, unless you are towing heavy in the mountains with no exhaust or trailer brakes, which is just stupid to begin with.

Also, make sure the EGR (or whatever brand drilled/slotted rotors you're interested in) can be turned. The design of some do not allow them to be resurfaced, so it could end up being pretty expensive for the benfit you might get.

my brakes work fine . i'm just tired of warped front rotors. yes i do alot of towing in nortern az.

Your rears are probably not adjusted right, or there is air in them, and they arent clamping like they should. I'm there with the air myself right now. Self Adjusting means you have to crawl under the truck every oil change and Adjust them yourSelf. Maybe bigger wheel cylinders would help. But that leads to more air... ... .

danbrooks- in my experience, by the tiime I wear through a set of front pads (30-40K), the rotor is worn too thin to turn anyway. They dont make stuff to be reused anymore.

That doesn't surprise me. I had less than 20k miles on my front brakes, including new rotors, and just swapped to Performance Friction pads a few weeks ago. I had the rotors turned and they were within spec, but barely. And that's with frequently adjusting the rear brakes manually... .

Things are looking up for you, dan brooks- I've never gotten less than 40K with PF pads; but then, I do a lot of coasting- eaiser on brakes, MPGs, etc. I just replaced the fornts on my 91 that had been el cheapos (owned by a roper... ) and they had 32K from me.
