So by mileage, the RAM 3500 I bought a couple months ago should of had the EGR Cleaning and CCV Filter Replaced about 28,000 miles ago.

I have no idea if it has been done... is there a quick way to tell if this service has been recently done, or is it by the time I dig into that far I might as well just do the service?

Short of finding a quick way to "check" I'll plan to do the service with the 150k mile valve lash adjustment that is coming up in just over 2,000 miles.

What year is the 3500? When the switched to using DEF the requirement for EGR cleaning was dropped because DEF reduced the amount of EGR required.

@jrollf, You can check valves for spec, doubt they'll need adjustment. Was in mine at 150K and were in spec. General consensus is that unless you notice anything different in sound or fuel mileage, just check them. The EGR service with CCV filter is pretty simple with the kit and instructions from Geno's. That's the route that I went and use Purple Power to clean cooler and EGR. Had truck out of service overnight to allow cleaner to work. Look over service info on Geno's. Don't be worried if it wasn't done as long as you do it. It's list for every 67.5K.

It's not a difficult service, just time consuming. You can buy a whole kit from Genos Garage with the plugs and the Purple Power cleaner. It also comes with all the instructions.
