I recently deleted my 18 Ram, installed the EGR delete kit and it was supposed to one to reroute the coolant to the 5-6 cylinder.
The supplied hose was short and made to go in the factory location.

What are the benefits, if any to reroute? Is it worth the hassle of sourcing the correct hose and rerouting it? Or should I just leave it alone?

The coolant flow to keep the engine uniform in temp was set up the way it was for a reason. I would try my best to keep it routed to the correct place.

Thank you, I left it in the factory location.

What about the kits that plug the end of the coolant hose? Why do companies offer both the plug version or the reroute version?

My kit is similar to this, now I'm second guessing what is best.
