Wouldn't disabling the egr without the dpf delete done cause plugging up issues to happen sooner and the regen to not function properly? From what I'm reading here is guys are unpluging the egr but haven't done the dpf delete. I s this what you guys are doing?

maybe not ...

you are actually putting "dirty" unfiltered air into the intake ...

good question

It will answer any and all questions related to this topic. Every 6. 7L owner should read it.

The EGT reduction is ridiculous. Easily 150-200* drop. It takes all of 15 seconds to open up the hood, pull the plug and shut the hood.

DO IT!!!! DO IT!!!! DO IT!!!! DO IT!!!! DO IT!!!! DO IT!!!! DO IT!!!!

Cattletracker, I see you have a C&C. Do you unplug the plug on the crossover tube. I unplugged the brown plug only on mine and I saw a reduction of m. p. g. on a trip of about 345 miles from a previous trip the same trip with it plugged in.

I pull both plugs. I've never tried it with just the one pulled. I did pull the plug on the butterfly once and got the lightning bolt and limp mode when it went into regen.

My mileage doesn't change but I still like it. I have about 5K on the current oil change and most of that has been unplugged. It will be interesting to see if there's anything that shows up in the UOA.

The Edge Insight shows me the time since last regen and # of regens along with a ton of other stuff. I've had the Insight for 10-11 regens and each and every one has occurred within minutes one way or another of 20 hours since the previous regen. That includes a few before I found out about unplugging the EGR and the last 3 consecutive have had the EGR unplugged the whole time. Mine seems to be on a timer more than anything else.

If I get some free time this winter, which I will, my EGR and cooler will fall on hard times and probably commit suicide.

I have had mine unplugged and plugged doing comparisons. So far about 1. 3 mpg better. Going to do some multiple tank runs to get some different comparisons.
