egr question

it seems that a lot of the problems that people have had with the 6. 7 is soot build up in the turbo due to the egr . i don't know a lot about the dmax or power stroke but i was under the impression that they have had an egr for a while now . i know the cummins has never had to have an egr up until now . if the dmax and the pstroke has already had the egr , why is it causing problems with the cummins turbo ?

its causing problems with them all, high idle times kill common rails truck quicker than anything.

Not to mention those of us who bought the 07. 5 in the beginning drove around sooting up our engines before th G30 and subsequent Flashes were released and it's not something that is going away. Just this morning when I started my truck after 26,000 miles I got both the P2262 code for the Turbo plus the P0402 which is EGR excessive flow so I get to go in first for the initial cleaning and then a new Turbo and EGR system per the 2 newest TBS's. (The cleaning never works I hear. )
