EGR Spring

i was looking into the egr delete on you tube and saw a comment that someone just removed the spring in the egr body and that was all you had to do .it didn't throw any codes. does anyone know if that is a B.S. claim ? i am new to the whole diesel emissions stuff on the cumming. i just bought a 2016 mega cab with 24 k on it

The spring in the valve holds the valve shut.

Please leave it alone as long as everything works flawless.
You do yourself no favor deleting it.

Its BS on 2013+ your only option is some restriction W/O de-rated power mode. I checked MY intake plenum with this block at 43K miles it only had a film soot dust on the
intake walls. any smaller hole sizes will trigger de-rated power mode on 2013+ Ram 6.7

the warranty for the emissions is good to 90k but the rest is up now. just looking for a increase in performance while towing our toy hauler and the egr and tuner sounded like a good place to start

looks like i will be doing a MM3 EGRless tune and just leave everything else alone
