EGR unplugged instructions

Has anyone done this to there 2012 truck, not just unplug the EGR but also pulled the butterfly gear. If you did what was the results.

I would be surprised if anybody actually would post for the world to see, that they committed a Federal Felony... . I believe thats what its called anyhow, tampering with smog stuff. . Having said that, I'd like to know myself what the difference was. .

From what I understand, if you just unplug the EGR on the 2012's not only will you get a check engine light, but the truck will actually de-rate after a period of time. The 2012's require some type of a programmer for offload purposes if you want to bypass or delete components.

If you have the remote start, you may find it doesn't work either.

Well, it does start. It just won't keep running.
