Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Egt at steady 35lbs of boost

What kind of egts are considered normal on a 350 hp 24 valve truck empty uphill at steady 35 lbs of boost. I am showing 1200 deg steady after about 1mile. Is that high ?

Assuming the thermo-couple is pre-turbo, you are just fine. If it is post turbo, TOO hot.

That's what I see up a steep grade with mods listed in sig, while towing our 7000 lb 5th wheel - no worries!

It sounds like I might be in the ballpark on egt. I'm trying to get it as low as possible with porting,cam and a larger radiator and intercooler. This new turbo helped it a little and smoothed out the power a bit. Decided to leave dyno alone and work with pyrometer instead. Gary, I showed my dad your tp filter pictures. He loved them. If I have enough room on the Passenger side in the engine compartment when I'm done I am going to install one.

By the way sender is pre-turbo.
