Attention: TDR Forum Junkies 
The EGT gauge is now installed and it certainly brings new insight to my driving habits. It truly seems to tell the story of what is going on inside the motor. I now understand better what someone said about hight EGTs when the RPM is too low for the load. I would think that I could improve my fuel mileage if I watched EGTs and adjusted my driving "technique" accordingly.
Too much information?? I think not. And my upcoming cross country trips pulling the trailer will be interesting, watching the EGTs. I have a better feeling about not driving blind.
