Mgalindez, there are distict advantages to having your EGT probe in both locations. If it is mounted pre-turbo you will get more accurate readings during peak exhaust moments (Like when you are pulling heavy or when you are drag racing with any variety of rice rocket). The advantage to having it mounted post-turbo is being able to accurately measure when the turbo has cooled down enough to shut down the engine without coking the turbo.
With that said, however, if you only use the truck to haul a shovel and the empty cans from a sixpak (the usual load for most trucks here), or you dont intend to keep the truck but for a year or two then the point becomes mute.
As you can see in my sig, I have both locations switched with a tiny micro switch on the A pillar right next to the gauge. For the cost of an additional EGT probe and a switch I felt that it was worthwhile.
