Any body have problems with their EGT gauge fogging in the morning? They are on the "A" piller and it only gets about 40 degrees in the morning. The boost gauge is fine. I've put some foam on the back to see if that would help but no luck. Any help would be great.

You're not alone....

Jon... . there have been other posts about this fogging, and I'm just now experiencing it on my Z series fuel pressure guage.

I talked with Autometer yesterday. If you return the guage they will replace the lense with a non-fogging one. They apparently got some bad glass lenses in production last summer. I bought my guage in August. They are warrantied for 12 mos. They won't send you the lense to do it yourself.

Sorry, I'm not where I can get phone number, address, etc. Some TDR have gone through the vendor they bought the guage from.

Me too........

Autometer Z series. I had my vendor send me an advanced replacement so I wouldn't have to be without a gauge.

I would try going that route through your vendor before I went to Autometer. Any vendor worth their salt should be able to do this for you.

Thanks Garrett, I E-mailed Smokindiesel.com and asked the quistion. They seem to be very good when it comes to customer satisfaction. Maybe if they treat me good I'll have to buy that 4" exaust from them. :D

I had the same problem with my autometer EGT gauge. I called Geno's garage and they sent me another gauge with prepaid postage to send the old gauge back. Excellent customer service!

Disclaimer: not associated with Geno's garage.

I had that problem allso, had the new one in for several months now and its working fine no fogging at all.

I have it on my ultralite Pyro. They're right, autometer had a batch of bad glass. I'm about to install my 5th one. I'm REALLY happy with the service from Advanced Diesel Technology. It's not their fault that the gauges fog, but they keep sending me a new one for nothing, then I send the bad one back. Doug, if you're reading this lets hope that #5 is the lucky charm. :)

P. S. If autometer was smart they'd mark their new stock different from the old stuff and nobody would have this problem.

Marked.

They are marked according to my vendor, I'm still haveing a little fogging in my trans. temp. gauge and when he ( the vendor) was looking thru his stock could not find one marked. So I'm still waiting for that one to come in.
