For EGT gauge the only criteria you really need is 0 to 1600° , other then that it is personal preference as to which gauge you use. There is Autometer, SPA Digital, Isspro, VDO, Banks, and a few others that I can't think of of the top of my head. You have to decide which "line" you like the best.

I don't have an ETH, so I will leave that question up to someone else to answer. I am pressed for time at the moment..... I'll check back later today and try to give you some websites so you ccan view these gauges.

Hi John. I just finished installing my DiPricol pyro gauge and I am very happy with the product and TST as well. The instructions were complete and the gauge appears to be of high quailty. I mounted the sensor pre-turbo, in the exhaust manifold and I'm seeing readings around 500-550 F while crusing at 50 mph. Here's the link for TST: http://www.tstproducts.com/gauge_kits.html

Good luck, there's alot of high quality gauges to choose from.

If you don't mind spending $$$ the SPA digital gauge is very nice. It also has some unique features such as a memory that holds your max boost/egt and alarm lights. They can be purchased many places. I got mine from HVAC (Nowel) at www.performancediesel.net His customer service is great.

Smart looking gauge setup! I like the one gauge design.
Does the digital get sort of hard to read during large swings in boost or EGT?

Lil' Dog - The digital reading can swing very quickly and you can have trouble seeing the top. This is most aparent with the boost. When you pust the go pedal to the floor boost can jump fron 2-25 instantly. That being said, the alarm lights and the peak hold features solve this problem. When my limits for boost and egt are hit the lights go off and I back off the go peddle, then I hit the button and see how high the numbers went. The other annoying thing is the egt swings in increments of 7 degrees. All in all I love the digital gauges. . it allows me to get actuall #'s and not just a guess from a needle type gauge. I would highly reccomend them to anyone who does not mind spending $$$ on gauges.

FWIW, the ISSPRO, the Banks, and the one listed on the TST URL posted earlier are all ISSPRO. The only difference is the style of lettering/colors.

The Autometer I'd avoid like the plague after hearing that JNutter's guage was off by some 200 deg. At least I think that's who it was...

The SPA is nice, but way pricier than I'd spend on a guage that doens't at least have a bar graph along with the digital readout so you can watch the speed of the increase. I do like the idea of the alarm, though. I'd love to add that to my ISSPRO guage.

Autometer is one of the best gauges out there, commonly used in the racing industry. JLNutter had his probe post turbo if I recall not to mention he had I a different thermocouple probe then what should be ran with a diesel.

The meter I ordered from ISSPRO is R607
the illumination is a little brighter than the boost meter. The egt is very easy to read, and accurate.
