I installed the Power Edge last week and it has been a blast driving my Ram. The only problem was my EGT's would climb very quickly
to dangerous levels. Boost was only going to
22 psi. Taylor from Power Edge products sent me their boost elbow to try out. The elbow on my stock turbo (see website URL below for pics) will work fine but other new
Cummins such as the ETH are going to a different boost line to the wastegate, according to the posts I have read. My 2001
ETC has the threaded elbow with rubber hose.
If you are wondering which turbo you have, check out the pics on my website and compare
to your turbo to see if the boost elbow will
fit or not. There are also some other pics
of the Amsoil dual-stage filter that I have
in my truck. It is an awesome filter and has
not passed a speck of dirt. The rubber intake plumbing going to the turbo is absolutely clean. Another advantage of the
Amsoil filter over stock is that you can hear
the turbo "whistle" or "whine" much louder.
Some folks like me crave that Big Rig sound!
Give me some feedback about the website! I
will be adding things to it so check back
often.
