I am fixing to go on my 1st long trip towing a 16ft enclosed trailer o Colorado. I have an isspro digital pyro mounted post turbo, not the best thing I know, but thats where it is. What are the highest temps I should allow. Highest so far in the wimpy TX hill country was 750 deg. Thanks.

figure on adding 300 degrees, below 950 (actual 1250) should be ok.

I have read this several times here on the TDR. This is not true. I have a pyro probe mounted before and after the turbo. Under certain situations (with a heavy right foot :) ) I have seen there be as much as a 500-600 degree difference. Under normal driving 300 degrees is probably pretty close, but while towing or racing from a stop light 300 degrees can be way off.

To be safe, I would say if you have your foot in it figure 500 degrees difference. If you are cruising down the interstate 300 is probably good enough.
