Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) EGT probe and BD exhaust brake ??

I have a BD brake and want to put the 1/8 probe into the plugged hole (1/8) on the BD brake. There are two plugged holes one(1/2 inch ?? ) on top and one off to the passenger side (1/8 inch). Is this where the probe goes or will it hit the plate? Thanks for any replys.

Yes but don't, I had mine there and never liked the response. Put it in the manifold, very easy to do. The temp difference is scary between the two.
