EGT probe drill size

What drill size do I use for a 1/8-27 pipe fitting for my Sport Comp EGT guage? I have read some using 5/16 and some 7/16 must be for different size fittings. My instructions don't specify. Thanks.

You can use a 5/16 or a 21/64 they will both work but I prefer the 5/16 makes the threds a little tighter.
