egt probe location on 06

Looking for picture of location for egt probe, pre trubo, On my first gen there was a lot of space on exhaust manafold, 3rd gen I need help please,

I went straight into the tube between #2 and #3. Don't have to take anything off to get to the spot.

Not a criticsim, just an observation, but this looks like it is only picking up #6.

Behind the heat shield on top of manifold will pick up 1,2,3. This where I tapped (as per Genos's instructions). To pick up 3,5, 6, which run a bit hotter, you have to go to the more difficult spot on the aft side of the transition piece just above the turbo. There are many posts on this subject in TDR.

I put it there intentionally. There was a lot of discussions concerning which cylinder in the third gens would tend to run a little hotter then the rest. The number 6 was the hottest. If you really want to get technical about it, I guess you should put a temp probe in every cylinder exhaust. I choose to put it in the elbow between 5 and 6...

Would the combination of 3 cylinders be better then just one? I'm sure the back 3 in that funky spot is "BEST" but second best would be the combo of the first 3.
