Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) EGT probe location

Recently installed the Jardine exhaust so now I must reinstall the temp probe, this time where it belongs pre-turbo. Where is the best place to install on the exhaust manifold that is least likely to crack the manifold? DW

about 1" in from the turbo flange and to the rear of the engine---the exhaust manifold is split at the collector so if you take the mid point of the collector and divide it in two (front half and rear half) put it in the rear half---does this make sense... someone will most likely post a pic-----chris
