I had some 35/1250/17 Toyo OC MT's meet me half way through my recent vacation. After the install and heading down the hiway the EGT's were 100-200* higher than with the stock tires.

60 MPH the rpm's are about 1500 temps about 650 norm about 500

70 MPH the rpm's are about 1800 temps about 750 norm about 550.

Going uphill on a 6% grade I had to get off the pedal for temp reasons. The convertor locked up at about 55 and started to lug the motor with the EGT gauge moving about 1:1 with the boost gauge. Once the boost reached about 20 PSI the EGT's would start to drop but would still be close to 900. The highest EGT I saw was 1050.

The MPH has been corrected for the bigger tires and the pyro is post turbo.

Are these readings what everyone else sees? I did have a pressure box on but have removed to help save the injectors. The pressure box has not been installed in the last 4,000 miles and engine does not appear to making oil.

The EGTs go up the further below 2k rpm you go when loaded, you should have lost about 150-175 RPMs going from the 265s to the 315s which would definetly make the EGTs be higher, plus the slightly higher rolling and wind resistance.

JApol, That seems about right. I have 37 and run about 50 degrees hotter than you are. I usually run around with my Juice on level 3 and low boost fueling on 4 and run about 200 degrees hotter than your numbers. I see 1400 all the time :-laf

I've got the 35" Toyo M/Ts as well, and could nail 1350 - 1400 in just a few seconds with full throttle. However, after adding the II SPS66 turbo, I've never seen temps hotter than 1300, even after extended full throttle runs up a grade.
