hello everyone I am a new member to TDR and I am computer stupid so bear with me. I got an 02 2500 4x4 HO CTD bone stock except for 4 inch stainlesssteel exhaust. I just put in a boost & exhaust temp gauges and noticed cruising about 70 empty I am between 600 & 650 degrees. It just seemed a little high any input would be appreciated. thanks p. s. post turbo sensor

That seems a little high , what size tires are you running? also, running a 4" exhaust on a totally stock truck might increase your cruising egts, due to lower boost. Some one with a little more knowledge, correct me if I'm wrong.

Big A

Question

What is your boost gauge reading at this EGT, on flat ground? The larger exhaust should slightly aid, not decrease boost. The turbo spins faster from less back pressure. Also, where is your EGT probe located?

600 to 650* at 70 mph sounds just fine to me. That's pretty close to what I run.
