Out of fearing to look ignorant, what is a pipe plug?

A pipe plug is a plumbing fitting used to plug a threaded hole and is available at any hardware store or building supply store and yours is either 1/8" or 1/4" size if not sure take your fitting out and take it with you or buy both as they are cheap , prolly 60 cents each or so.
