EGT's and Blue Box

I just installed the Blue Box and WOW. My EGT's with the TTPM never went above 1100 at WOT. With the Blue Box on 30% I can hit 1400 right away and if I keep my foot planted 1500 doesn't take too long to hit. I guess this is normal? Well I think it's time for the BHAF and maybe a bigger turbo. Then I can have some real fun!

Yes this is normal.



You went from a "minor" fueling/timing box to a "major" fueling box.



Your thinking is right..... you need to do something bout your airflow now.

the cheapest and easiest thing to do now would be to put on a brass turbo boost elbow. This cuts the boost pressure to the wastegate and lets u boost up some more. More boost equals more compression, and thast whay we all need to burn that extra fuel. U will also need a map sensor fooler so that u don't throw a boost code.

I have the boost elbow and max boost is now 34 lbs. I just added the BHAF and EGT's now rise more slowly but still end up the same. I guess it's turbo time.

Get a 4" exhaust, you will notice a 150 - 200 deg reduction in temps
