Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) EGTs are up

My egts are up since I put on taller tires. Best I can figure is that with the extra resistance it takes longer to get up to boost. Feels like it takes longer. More smoke, more lag, higher temps. It was a nightmare with 35s. These are about 33. 5. I had a problem keeping up to speed while towing with 35s(bone stock). #1 fuel and cold air didnt help. Has anyone else noticed the rise in egts with a tire swap?
