School bus to motorhome trouble

Just back from trip to Roswell. Pulled 5'er loaded. Power is fine but EGT's will zoom past 1250 unless I lift off throttle. I'm disappointed. Should I add propane injection?

Thanks.

I would think you would want methanol/water injection to cool the engine not propane. I believe it can reduce the EGTs up to 300 degrees F.

I do not have a boost gauge, so assume stock. I did not install the "plug" that came with the Edge EZ. Instructions said optional. I run at 2000RPM's and 62MPH usually. I may need to upgrade to a fuel preasure and boost gauge to understand how the engine is operating. I see alot of larger turbos in the TDR classifieds.

Jeff, you need to use the boost elbow that was furnished with the EZ. It should have a restriction built in, I don't know anything about a "plug". If it is just a pipe plug, it will probably over boost. It is hard to improve on the stock turbo with mild fueling mods.

I run the EZ with RV275 injectors on an 01' HO with the stock turbo w/boost elbow and max out at about 32 lbs boost, it never runs hot. This is with the factory air box and exhaust system to the resonator, then 4" after that.

That boost elbow is really not an option. It will allow higher boost to cool the increased fuel your getting from the EZ. That should take care of your problem.
