Picked my 15k 5th wheel on sat from W Virginia, rt 33. Really tough 2 lane with alot of 9-11% grades(I will never be without a exhaust break again..... ever). On way back I could easily get egt to 1400 with tst on level 3-4 on the tough grades. Had to keep my foot out of it to keep from hitting 1600. Is this normal? I am going to put my ddIIs in on sunday. Is this going to produce higher egts? What can I do to reduce the egt. I will not be seeing these types of grades where I normally tow so should I not worry about it?? One really bad grade I could only manage 40mph without getting egts way up. On a side note, my VP which I replaced last night was not 100%. Thanks for any advice!!

You'll get better feedback by posting this in the 24V forum. In general I think bigger injectors will result in higher EGT's assuming no other changes.
