Well, I slid my #10 plate all the way forward and I moved my EGT probe into the manifold PRE turbo. I can not believe how high my temp goes. If I stand on it in 4th form a rolling 50mph, the EGT guage pegs at 1600° :--)
I will be moving the plate back to the middle until I can figure out what to do about the temps. I put my 16cm² housing on..... the lag is horrible and it does not seem to have helped much for the EGTemp. I wish I would have left my 12cm² wastegated housing on at this point.
I have not put the 370 marine injectors in yet, and I was thinking this would make the temp even higher (more fuel = more heat right??)? My stack will go on tomorrow, but I was going to keep my stock down pipe and exhaust (less muffler and cat) up to the bed and into the 5" single stack. How much will the temp drop if I go to 4" down pipe and exhaust up to the stack? Also, I have not messed with the star wheel adjuster in the top of the AFC housing, will adjust this lean or rich have any affect on the exhaust temp?
What else can I do to let it breath better and keep that temp down to the safe 1300°F maximum?
Here are the mods I have but remember, injectors are not installed yet and exhaust is still stock minus cat and muffler.
TST #10 plate full forward (I will put it in the middle if I have to for lower temps)
TST AFC spring (medium)
K&N FIPK air filter assembly
16cm² turbo exhaust housing (non wastegate)
370 marine injectors
Griffin intercooler (large!)
I also plan on putting in the 3K gsk governor springs in a couple of weeks.
