I"m wondering if this is normal. The only mods that I have is Edge Jammer Injectors stage 1 60 hp. I can almost touch 1200 degrees If I lug it much on a hill empty. I got the 60hp because I tow and I wanted to keep my stock clutch and keep temps down. I have a round K&N Laying in the stock box

kinda like bhaf. And ripps four inch turbo back . Is boost fooling what I need?

I had a reduced J hook that came with an edge ez on it but it would set an overboost code without the box to do the boost fooling. Dont want to pay

$400 for a box that will slip my clutch to do the boost fooling.

Thanks for the advice

Todd

1100 -1200 can be fairly normal under heavy pulls wouldn't worry about that but would suggest not to run 1200+ temps for too long. would pull back 1 gear and not lug quite as hard. your transmission will get toasty also under hard pulls also good to pull back 1 gear.

The only way you will slip the clutch is if you are rompin and stompin on the go pedal. As already stated, drop a gear. This brings the RPM up and you flow more air. You should see the EGT's drop. If you know the RPM that your Peak Torque is developed, then you drive by that and your EGT gage. If you are holding the RPM and your EGT's start to rise beyond normal then just drop one gear down.

I am at 164,000+ now and still have my original clutch with all the mods listed. The clutch will hold up very well if not abused with too much fun-factor. ;)

Also, added timing from an EZ, VanAaken, Smarty, etc may reduce EGTs.

I would recommend the Smarty. Seems to come highly recommended.
