I am thinking on putting some 150 injectors in my 02 24V. I still run the stock hx35 and plan to get a 16 housing ASAP. Will i be able to use the 150 injectors and still maintain decent egt levels. I definately don't want to melt anything down. I want some more power and don't have enough money for headwork and new chargers but injectors are pretty affordable compared. lemme know what i am lookin at

Thanks

Kevin

I think it would be manageable WITHOUT the comp if you don't tow too heavy. I don't see a clutch in your sig, it can't be still holding your current setup??

Injectors do run a bit cooler at the same power level than a box, you could probably get away with it if you play your cards right... ... ... .

I've thought about the same thing myself.

I usually run the comp on 1x3 and I turn it off when I tow, which isn't very often. I rarely run above level 2. Stock head and stock clutch :( .

It really depends on how you drive. My stock clutch is still alive at 110K and the truck has been bombed for 60K. Just put the comp on this year, though. I don't lug the truck down low and I keep my foot out of it 98% of the time.

But, you need some self control or you will be expediting your head work and clutch! If you think it will be too tempting, then save up and do the head first.

I used to think I wanted the goodies first and would build the truck to handle them later, but now it kills me that I can't use all the power that I have. Power is cheap... being able to put it to the ground safely is expensive.

I guess I did stuff backwards.

Good luck

Jason

forgot to answer your question. :D

EGTs pre turbo daily driving on 1x3 usually stay under 1000*

daily driving on level 2 can get up over 1200 if you aren't careful.

Cruising is around 600-700.

Boost usually stays under 20-25psi max during normal driving.

I can run 35+psi at WOT on 1x3.

I know it gets hot real fast with the comp turned up!

Then go for it. Just watch the temps but you should be fine. I ran jammer 4's before these supermentals and they were very strong and ran cooler than my SM's.

Are you going EDM or honed?

My confe is in the back seat but for some reason I saw the need to invest my time in installing my D25 springs and bilstiens last weekend.

bought it used needs rebuilt, pickin it up from where tex shipped it to tomorrow then it goes off to Peter at SBC for a rebuild soon after. I will give you a full report as soon as i get it in though, Tex really seems to like his.
