Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Egts - ???

Ok . . I need some ideas. I have DDII, Drag Comp, PDR35 with a 14cm housing. With the Drag comp on 1x3 I can hit 1400 pre turbo.



Boost = 35+ (gauge stopped )



I checked all the intercooler boots and they were all tight. .



I have spoken with other TDR members who have similar setups and don't seem to have the EGTs that I do. .

I don't know what kind of air clearner you're running, but I would say that your temps are about right. Maybe a smidge high, but all in all about right. How fast do you get to 1400F? How hot is it outside when you're doing that?

the weather is about 85ish and I am at WOT in 3rd. but I have spoken with people who say "they don't have EGT issues" until 3x? not 1x?

Is your aftercooler blocked up? Are you running fanless? Have you checked your probe to see if it's correct? From what device (make) are you getting your readings? I'm still trying to figure it out. You are a bit warm.

What kind of air cleaner are you using? If you are using the stock unit, did you remove the duct from the airbox to the fenderwell? If not, give that a try. Have you ever set any DTCs?

Is your air horn warm all the time? Maybe you should check to see if the grid heater relays have stuck (not likely, but possible). I'm pretty much guessing after here.
