What are the pro's and cons for an electric fan system instead of the factory fan or a flex fan? I thought that I heard that you can gain a little HP by getting rid of the fan and clutch. Also, do I need a high flow fan with to pull the air through the intercooler, radiator and a/c condenser.

There ok , but depend on the room in your truck , with a conversion

you have to find fans that will fit the radaitor your useing , i got a stock dodge fan in mine and works well , the hp you gain is minimal in the first place , Timo is running electric on his , but rarely a cummins gets warm ,

my personel choice is to keep on the self parts on it for ease of getting parts if your traveling with it

Unless you can fit one in that will move a "lot" of air you might have cooling issues. My flex-a-lit twin electric fans work great in the cooler weather ( they never come on unless I'm in traffic ) but won't move enough air for trailer pulling in the summer. Come June I will put the stock one back on and leave it on til fall, and I'm still running my V8. For a CTD you would need at least 5500 cfm of air IMHO. Shadrach
