Electric fuel press gauge questions

Gentlemen, I pulled and tapped (1/8" NPT) my fuel filter housing.
Now I'd like to install some gauges so that I can calculate when filters need to be changed.
I found a post on this, but it was a 24 valve, and a 16 psi gauge was adequit. I can only seem to find 0-16 PSI, and 0-100 PSI gauges. I'd like a 0-30 or 40 PSI if possible. Anybody know where I can get one?
I want to go electric so I can mount them in the cab w/o worry.
I'd like decent quality, but dont want to bust the bank.

I bought a 0-30 psi gauge (VDO) from Don's Sport Vehicle Sales (Detroit). It's not labeled "Fuel" but it should do the trick (I haven't installed it yet). Their web page is www.eGauges.com and Phone # is (800) 303-6211. Cost, including sender and shipping, is less than $70. 00

Eric, read the post about mechanical gauges here. My sender, for oil pressure, went out,others have emailed me with the same problem. The senders can't take the vibration and pulsations from the lift pump. You won't find an electric fuel pressure gauge that is the right range for a 12 valve, they're like 16, 80 or 100 psi. We run about 22 so a 40 is perfect.

These senders have a built-in snubber. I'm optimistic that they will last.

Mine are going to be going on a two foot piece of rubber hose, I was hoping this would act sort of like a snubber.
Illflem, did you mount your direct, or like this?
I personally would prefer mechanical, but I dont want to bring fuel in the cab. It's an "every day" truck, and fuel in the cab would really ruin my day.

Eric, my sender was mounted on a hose about 18" from the IP banjo bolt. It worked well for about a year then slowly worked it's way to zero. I first installed the mechanical gauge without a snubber, the gauge pulsed between 5 to 35 psi so hard that it actually shook the dash. I could see why the electric sender didn't hold up. I was also apprehensive about running fuel into the cab, was going to use an isolator, Larry B convinced me that it was just fine. Like I said I've used mechanical oil pressure gauges with oil coming into the cab for years never had a leak, in fact if were to have a leak I would prefer diesel over motor oil in the cab.

I just hate to put it off. I have a slight leak on one of my tapped holes, and dont want to put any sealent on it until it's "for good" because I dont want it to fall into the fuel system when I put my gauge fitting in. Understand? Hard to explain.....

I talked to WESTACH gauge company last year about an electric gauge for fuel in our trucks. They told me they can make one with the proper range. I forget the price,but depending on which of the two sending units you chose, it was around 80 or 90 bucks for less expensive one if I remember correctly. Call them at 800-400-7024 and get fresh info.

I bought one from Westach and they custom made it for 35 lbs. It cost $80 plus shipping. They make nice stuff! Haven't put it in yet, but warmer weax is coming.
