does anyone know of a company that makes electric rear sliding windows for the Dodge with the quad cab? In my regular cab, opening the beercan window, oops, #ad
sliding rear window was easy. Now, it is a stretch to get there. Plus, I think it would be more secure than that itty bitty piece of plastic...

I personally don't know of any companies, but I do remember reading some threads about those when I first began reading back in june of 2000. Maybe you can find it in a search. #ad

I was just in a glass shop the other day and was admiring those electric windows. A little pricey but looked good. I don't know a manufacturer but the store I was in was Massa Auto Glass in Denver Colorado 303-744-9956 they also have a website but I haven't been to it, www.massaglass.com. If they don't mention them on the website you could give them a call and I am sure they would give you the manufacturers name then you could contact them for a local/closer dealer.

That's why I didn't order the sliding rear window on mine.

Ok this is just a electric split window slider we are taliking about here right?

What I'd liks is an electric rear roll down completley window. You know, kind of like a middle window in a limo. I've seen it on a Phord a while back. Any idea who does something like this?

I've seen the product that you are describing, but I can't seem to find their ad anywhere. I'll keep looking for it. I do, however, remember thinking that their product took up a lot of the "window". In other words, the frame for their vertical slider was almost 3" wide all the way around, which as you can imagine, didn't leave much glass to go down. Just MHO.

The power up/down windows were also distributed by C. R. Laurence Co. I believe they were discontinued a few years back due to mechanical and leakage problems. Their "Powr-Slider" has 2 stationary panels with a single sliding center panel. I installed one in my 88 Chevy crew cab when the truck was new and have had excellent luck with it. Any legitimate auto glass company will have a CRL account and can get you one of these units.

I put one in mine--it is fantastic. In my gasser I probably opened the rear slider 5 times in 5 years, now I use the power slider almost every day. Well worth the money. Quality fit and it does not leak.

A friend of mine had one of those slide down rear windows. Said he liked well enough, but he got a lot of wind noise. And like you said, the frame around it was rather large. Also, I have a quad cab and 3 kids. Do I really want a large piece of glass sliding down behind them? Um, no. My kids could break anything. I gots faith in 'em
