BHitt - My 99 has 2 of the 3 motors out of commission. It's not the switch on mine, it's the motors going/gone south. In the past I've taken the motors out (you can remove the seat pad - one your butt sits on - by four bolts from the underside, thus providing access to the 3 motors. I took the other approach the first time and removed the whole seat - not needed unless you are replacing the entire 3 motor system, which if available is only from Dodge or the local bone yard. If you call Dodge make sure you are sitting down - I called 4 years ago and it was like $400 +/-. So a bone yard may be the best alternative. Then how long with that last. It's a crap shoot?
The first time, front seat height motor stopped working - would bump but not work fully - I took the motor off, took it apart, cleaned and lubed everything, put it back together and it worked for a few days. Then the rear seat height did the same, tried everything and neither worked. The only remaining motor that works is the forward and rear direction and they don't always work well. I think this (front - rear) is a switch problem because if you wiggle the switch up/down/front/back it eventually catches and will move. However the front and rear height adjustment is definitly the motors they are shorted internally and I've disconnected both electrically. Not fun, wish you better luck than I had.
