This isn't directly related to my Ram 2500, but I'm in need of replacing the 10 inch electric brake assemblies on my 12 foot tandem axle utility trailer. There's so much junk out there on the market and I'd like to find the higher quality brake assembly to replace my 20+ year old brakes. Does anyone have a recommendation on a quality replacement?

I have the exact Dexter units from your link that I installed last year, they are working great, and much improved over the originals. The self adjust feature is worthwhile, all you do is on occasion activate the brakes while backing and your brakes will adjust for wear.. my OEM brakes did not do this.

I also know the Tekonsha brakes would be quality, my second choice, but there is a big price differential there and could not justify it. Dexter now owns Al-Ko axle, so I think they have a massive part of the trailer axle market..so it is possible they others may even be re-labled Dexter units.. just a guess.. The Dexter was also USA made if I recall, I know the hubs were for sure, it is right on the casting.
