Seat belt different on 2000

Sure thought the link to the thread that Bob Wagner supplied would get me somewhere... Bummer the 2000 doesn't have that setup. There is a Timer Module for chimes(according to shop manual)and there are some tests. It is located behind the instrument panel, have to remove same. I'm getting weary of this right now. . Hate to pull the panel and find the t hing checks OK. Manual doesn't state anything about it possibly running down the battery,so it would

be a long shot.

I am going to try to put things back together,as I had it.

I am planning on pulling the 50A battery fuse in the PDC,when it is going to be sitting. Guess that work or not???

Thanks all again,

I will dig into it some more later, have to get some other work done.

Denny and whoever else is interested:

I went to Camping World today and as I had the old converter unwired while checking for the electrical leak,I went ahead and bought the more expensive one,as described on the Ford Diesel site. It works as advertised. Go figure, they both have the same input and same output wires but the old one the lights would go out if the clearance lights were on and you hit the brake. Dont' happen now. That's what I get, tried to save a buck and it cost me almost double.

BTW,pulling that 50 BAT fuse does NOT kill the . 14A drain. . I thought it would kill all the juice. . now what?

Again, thanks for hangin in with me on this.
