My dome lights come on whenever they feel like it unless I turn my illumination intensity wheel to the off postion, my warning chimes come on with the key in the lock and door closed and I hear a clicking under the dash that drives me crazy and coincides with the dome lights flashing on and off. It sounds like a relay clicking on and off. I replaced the headlight switch with the help of some of the guys here but it did not do the fix. Does anyone have any ideas what is going on. Thanks. Dave

I got this after breaking off the plunger for the door switch on my old truck. I can't remember how I got it out of the frame but don't worry about adjusting the new one. Just close the door and it will move to the right position. One of the switches will be the culprit. If y ou have one damaged go with that one first.

That dinging will drive ya nuts won't it?

Dome light flashing on and off

Well I did a search and others have had this problem. Mine started doing it today, but I can hear a relay switching on and off. At one point this morning the dome light was stuck on even with the truck off and the doors closed. I can turn the dimmer switch down to off and that does kill the dome light. Does any one know exactly where that relay is? I can make the relay make noise by turning the dome light on and off on the dimmer switch, Im going to heat the garage in the am and see if I can find the relay.
