I've got a 1993 Dodge Ram W-350 and I recently replaced the ignition switch and now, the radio doesen't work. Turning the key on the display doesen't work and also when the volume knob is turned clockwise. The display does light up when the headlights are turned on. I've checked all fuses for the radio and they are fine. Any help is appreciated, Thanks.

Was this happening before changing the ign switch? If not, I'd say it is in the new switch. Is anything else with teh 132v ign ON setting affected? A/C, windows, locks, etc?

If it was going on before the swithch of the switch, get your test light and remove your radio, but leave it plugged in. I had the pink wire on my grey connector lose power, and that aparently was the 12v hot wire (kept station presets and clock time, etc). I jumped a wire from a 12v hot and all was well again.

did you ever resolve your problem? every once in a while mine does something similar and I've bee working on it for a couple year believe it or not. radio quits, power windows won't work, heater fan. replaced ignition switch but not the key and tumblers. once or twice a winter it won't crank over. jumper the starter and off she goes. this is on my 91.

let me know what you found if you resolved it. thanks

key switch has 2 hot wires. ! check the fusable links on the left fenderwell to see if one feeding the switch is blown.
